I thought this day would never come… I thought I could never do it… But, wow! I did it! I even amazed myself… ME?! DRIVING?! ON MY OWN?! YES! Ladies and gentlemen! I finally got on the road and drove myself to Sta. Lucia. YES! YES! YES! And my average speed was 50 kph! No longer 15 kph! YEBA!!! I just need to practice some more. I took notes on my weaknesses. Well, I could only think of 2 things – the U-turn and parking. I really need to practice, practice, practice and practice some more. Once I’m really confident with my driving skills, I’m going to look for my first job! YEBA!

And because I’m really proud of my achievement today, I bought Fiesta Pack from Goldilocks for dinner. Cheap but delicious – and well-earned, I tell you, well-earned indeed!  

Finally, I feel like my life is going somewhere…

WOW! 久しぶり! When was the last time I posted something… hmmm… I can’t remember. I was supposed to post something a few months ago. I got a NEW HAIRCUT! But now it’s long again. I’ll have it trimmed by early December. This is the perfect de-stressing activity for me and fluffy_mafi after taking JLPT 2 – which I know I will fail. I still can’t remember anything from our review class. Well, I don’t “re-review” them at home. Hehehe… I’ll just retake it next year. I’ll try to spend most of next year preparing for my first retake - even going to Rizal Library which seems more conducive to learning than my room.  Hehehe…

Now back to the haircut. Me and  Zamie went to Fitz salon - a Japanese salon in Makati. It is near Sango, Little Tokyo and Yamazaki. It is a very small salon with only three seats and 2 assistants. The Japanese guy who owns the salon is also the hairdresser. According to him, he has been cutting hair for 30 years in Japan. He owns a building in Japan that houses another Fitz Salon which is now under his son. He used to have 4 branches all over Japan, but he decided to close the other 3 branches and move here in the Philippines. Hahaha… I don’t know why. Anyways, his assistants say that their specialty is rebonding. Well, yeah. You can have just the front or the back rebonded. I had the back portion done. It looks more natural than rebond done by other salons. In Tagalog I would say: “Hindi siya mukhang dinilaan ng baka.” And the best thing in this salon, if you’re a Filipino every service is 50% off!!! YEP! Only Japanese pay the whole price. Hehehe… They charge Php 1,200 for a haircut and Php 4,000 for rebonding of short hair. I just paid Php 1,600. Hahaha… 600 for the cut, 1,000 for the rebond (short, back only hehehe…) The Japanese guy can speak English – a bit weird at times but understandable, and the assistants can translate some Japanese or “Japanized” English words for you. Hahaha…
